  1. The cars are autonomous in the movie. In 2019, autonomous cars are beginning.
  2. The monitors are vertical. Samsung announces a vertical monitor in 2019.
  3. In the movie, there is video conference calling, on vertical monitors.
  4. The monitors track the movement of a character moving in a room.
  5. The police use shock wands.
  6. Sex is no longer a thing.
  7. Before reproduction occurs, the fluids of the parents are screened.
  8. Babies are grown in a lab.
  9. A virus eliminates a large portion of the population.
  10. An earthquake, in 2010, wipes out part of Los Angeles.
  11. Los Angeles and San Andreas merge.
  12. The electric cars use a capacitance gel.
  13. In the movie, toilet paper is no longer a thing.
  14. A fast hardening foam fills the car when there is a vehicle impact.
  15. Computer controlled home lighting.
  16. Cryogenics is used to store criminals.
  17. People are fighting for food. (When has that ever stopped.)
  18. Violence is no longer a thing. (We dream of that day.)
